The Importance of Power
Not all power is bad, but 90% of us are probably going to cosign and prop up these imbalances of power. We can look for others' body language as a sign that they may be taking advantage of them. Jesus modeled this best with the woman who was caught in cotton adultery by walking into the situation immediately before she hit the fan. Bystander intervention could help you change the subject or distract someone from making an issue out of nothing.
