New Research Says Sugar Substitutes Can Affect Blood Sugar

New research says that sugar substitutes might actually affect blood sugar. Two of the sugar substitutes, sacarin and sucrelose were linked to spikes in glucose levels. All four of them were linked to changes in the gut microbium. People who had been taking sacrin or sucerlose, their blood sugar levels spiked more in reaction to glucose than those who hadn't been.
