The Proliferation of PyProject Metadata

PEP621 led to all the project metadata going to PyProject.tonal. The goal there was to make it even easier to switch to the tool backend tool that made the most sense for you. And so suddenly we started to have this proliferation of build tools where people can have the tool that meets their needs. Those of us who predate back to setup tools days view this as a Renaissance time and packaging of PyCon because now I have options.
