Socrates explains that objective knowledge is indeed possible. It comes from within, and begins as conjecture before being corrected by repeated cycles of criticism. We come to know the true world beyond the illusory experience, but only by pursuing the kingly art of philosophy. Socrates: What's the point of writing down things that are going to be endlessly tinkered with and improved? Rather than make a permanent record of all my misconceptions as they are, i would rather offer them to others in two way debate.
