The marquis de satt had been the stage manager of a caste that he himself had assembled. He used his isolated chateau as a personal playground to indulge his fantasies and satisfy his appetites. The girls wouldn't talk specifics and insisted that they h'd been treated more or less fine, but everyone else could draw conclusions. One girl's father actually tries to kill sad which honestly understandable.
