Are We All Politically Active?

I think most Soviets and Eastern Europeans of the socialist state, they don't have that. They are more skeptical about different systems. That makes them more adaptable as well. So for Americans, I think for many Western Europeans, it is different. There's a certain understanding that this is democracy. This is liberty. And I think that makes them less maybe prepared for certain radical transformations. For the last Soviet generation, the end of history meant not only a changed ideology at the level of the state, but also far-reaching consequences for everyday social life.
