Is the D and by Ds Ratio Under Selection?

The D and by Ds ratio is a very interesting way of thinking about whether the sequences here are under selection. We have an article now that allows us to answer similar questions for regulatory sequences as well. And we sort of find a very interesting phenomenon called convergent evolution using the ECC. So, you know, so wings, flight evolved independently in insects and birds. And so using ECC just as fun example, we demonstrated an examples of convergent evolution in yeast. The carboxylic acid metabolism or alcohol metabolism are not under stabilizing selection because they are under positive selection.
