Introduction

Author charle jane anders says her first job was making sandwiches for a living. She also had low-level office jobs, like stacking boxes in warehouses. As an adult she's worked as a professor, policy analist and journalist. But there's one common thread in pretty much every job i've ever had, which is that i needed those jobs to survive because i want to put my work out on the world.
