What Is Coffee?
The idea of words not being pointed to objects, but ideas. This is something that shows up in John Locke, which was popularized during the Enlightenment. If I say meat or meat, M-E-E-T or M- E-A-T, the words certainly seem connected and that they sound exactly the same. But my meeting you has nothing to do with eating meat.
