When we feel the threat of some negative emotion, like insecurity or worry or fear, it's like we reach into this bucket of coping strategies. But there are so many other potential coping strategies in the bucket that if you just rummage around a little more and just put in a little more effort towards finding something at that intersection of comforting and also true, then there's tons of things in that intersection.
