There's a huge cast in this novel but arguably the protagonist is Antarctica itself. Have you actually been there? What were your favourite facts about the continent that you discovered writing this novel? I was on the verge of going there. It would still have been a wonderful thing to do. And then once that trip got cancelled and then it was COVID for whatever it was three years. So I haven't been able to do it yet.
