The Ugly Side of Compounding

Knowing the biases is certainly not the recipe to avoiding them. We're still humans, quite so one way to deal with these human biases is to avoid a minimize activities that trigger a lot of your behavior mistakes. I do this by continually revisiting my past investment decisionsnd, and considering the information i had at the time. Thouther than any new information, it makes it easier for me to understand what was and is driving my investing behavior. Never forget that any stock you buy, or your whole portfolio, can go down 50 % or more on the whims of the market. Leverage could literally destroy in a moment the benefit of many years of investment success by marging calls and forced sales
