What Is Julie Rachel Venn's Definition of Unschooling?

Julie Rachel: I find Julie's definition of unschooling to be narrow. She explains that her child would have an interest and she would use that as a doorway to invite deeper learning in meaningful ways. So my motivation here is not to argue that one way or another is right, but simply to offer an expanded meaning for the word unschooling. The distinction really just boils down to less coercion and more freedom and trust on the unschooling side from my perspective.
