I think there's a temptation to look back at the place and it's kind of like you're in motion but the place is sort of stuck in time. You end up changing as well when you're away so that when you come back, you're also a different person. I could see with, you know, other people that I know who've written similar books in a Rod Dreher had his book about returning back home. JB Vance grew up north of Cincinnati and now he's actually back there. So how do you kind of still uphold the humanity of the people you're talking about and not be patronizing?
