The Purge of Moderate Republicans in the Age of Donald Trump
New Hampshire Governor Chris Hoonu announced that he would not seek reelection next November. His decision comes after fellow moderate Republicans, Larry Hogan of Maryland and Charlie Baker of Massachusetts, both said farewell to public office last year. CNN's Ali Rafa says the president plans to remain in the loop but for now still keeping sort of a hands-off approach as this continues. The purge of elected moderates inside the Republican Party in the age of Donald Trump is an important time to look at.
