Trade and Misallication in the Global Economy

We need to measure every distortion on every firm, ideally in every economy in the world. We think we can get somewhere towards that by drawing on the quite rich world bank enterprise survey data. They've conducted surveys now in hundreds of countries and a many different firms. And we use the micro data on each of the farms to construct what those economies lookl we have to fill in a few gaps where necessary. Tn, we're also using those same data to try and get a sense of how big these distortions are.
