The Effect of Income Redistribution
I think there is a case that the effect of income redistribution is relatively small and economic growth or an effort. But regulations, unsafe property rights, barriers to free trade occupational licensing, all of these are clearly detrimental to upward mobility. If we were to do a first do no harm approach to government intervention on distribution, we would actually probably have that improvements.
