We're Going to Face a Very Difficult Winter
I think we have to look at the situation we would be facing if the government hadn't acted. People were looking at fuel bills of up to six thousand pounds, a very, very high inflation, and slowing economic growth. And that is why we had to act as a government. Of course, there are elements of controversy, as there always are, but my priority was making sure that we were supporting the british people in what is going to be a very difficult winter.
