The House Republican Conference
Republicans on Capitol Hill are describing this as a political witch hunt. They're attacking the district attorney in Manhattan calling him someone that is funded by George Soros, who is of course a Democratic boogeyman for many Republicans. And they're essentially trying to set the stage that any sort of indictment that could come down will not be based on the merits of the evidence but instead will just be based on a political calculation made by a hardened Democrat.
