Separate School and State Is Too Hard, Isn't It?
School vouchers are based on the same socialist principle as public schooling. You're taking money by force, through taxation, from people to whom it rightly belongs and you're giving it to people who supposedly needit more. It's a form of political stealing. Isn't it right for a thief to hold up somebody in the dark alley because his mother needs an operation? We would all recognize that as thievery. So what you end up doing with the voucher programme s you more deeply imbed the state into the educational process. Those are the principal reasons why vouchers are such a disaster.
