According to Mr. O'Brien there's different levels or tiers within the Anunnaki society. So you have the royalty all the way down to the basic the servants which would explain why they were tasked or ordered to to mine gold under the ground and they rebelled against it. There was one rebellion at Mount Herman some of the lower ranking Anunnaki were imprisoned for their insubordination then there was new recruits brought in from the again from the lower level the lower tier of the society they were brought in to do this as replacements to do heavy labor and they rebelling as well.
