envy can manifest itself in a relationship in a large variety of ways only a few of which we will list here for example competitive envy the tendency to always compete with others. Obstructionist envy is rather expressed as a general obstructionist attitude or possibly in the form of passive aggressive behavior preventing others from making progress neglecting to follow through on what others are expecting. greedy envy involves taking something away from the other sucking them dry leaving them with nothing trying to take everything for oneself even when that person has no use for it themselves. anal sadistic envy not allowing anything out in order to torment the other person self destructive envy also has a passive aggressive side that aims to inhibit or prevent others from enjoying their
