The 25 Year Rule in the Space Sector

It is difficult to get all the countries around the world to agree to the same set of principles or rules for how we work in space. There is a very specific guide line which is quite famous in the space secter called the 25 year rule. So this is the rule that when your satellite finishes its life, after 25 years, it has to to come down and de orbit safely,. Or be moved to a safe orbit so it can't be at risk of collision. We're working with the u. N, and also other partners around the worldto try and update these guide lines.
