The Gender of Nouns in German

In german, like in french and spanish, we have masculine and feminine. But as thomas has just explained, there's also a third gender, which is called nuter. As we go through the lessons, you'll begin to pick up some tips for guessing which gender a particular noun is. For now, just try to learn the gender of the word when you're learning a new word. You should be able to guess what they are.
