I'd Leave Scenarios Out for Your First Game
Matt: I actually don't think the purpose of a scenario is to vary up the game after it's not even necessarily about difficulty because the scenario I played was not especially difficult. He says scenarios are more of a spice thing and less of helping you understand the game thing so he would leave them out. Matt on map boards: There're two sides to every map board there's the regular, non-sensical or balanced version which is meant to be something that looks like an island. And then there's what's called the thematic map which is mean to besomething that looks like a real island with mountains towards the center of the map.
