The Perfect Mother Myth
The perfect mother myth is a set of parameters that create an archetype or stereotype. Many are automatically outside of the perfect mother myth based on just how they look and who they are. Not every one of those things I've listed off is to be denigrated or pulled apart or shamed or made wrong. Think of each of them as making up a kind of mosaic of what the perfect mother looks like. We can pull off certain tiles from that mosaic and say I choose to have that one please. That is a really important part of my mother in.
