We actually know where the Harfits are. When, when Poppy sang the song, we get a little map pop up and we actually see that they travel south down towards the place called the Falls of Rauras. So would they have heard it? I don't know how volcanoes work. Is it plausible that the volcanoes chunks spewed that far? Sure. They're probably even further south, but I don’t know how geology works.
