Chernof's Analysis of the Rich Peasants

The vast majority of russians were families who worked a small plot of land for themselves. Chernoff, however, disputed this analysis and instead differentiated three types of peasants. He said the key issue was not whether or not you owned the land, but whether your income was principally drawn from the exploitation of labor. But both the srs and social democrats agreed that the richer peasants were a big concern.
