The Effect of Mud on Golf Performance

If the scuff is big enough, and I think the rule of thumb would be if you could feel it with your thumb and your finger test, you know, take that thing out of play. With mud balls, like let's say it's not on the left or the right's on the front of the ball or what have you, the ball is going to lose lift and it's going to go way shorter. Mud does quite a bit if you place it, if you place a bunch of it in the right spot, you're going to see a difference in carry distance.
