The Role of Social Status in Narcissism

Narcissism is a very interesting construct to focus on when being interested in these processes. For narcissists themselves, they seem to benefit from idealizing the partner or from basking in the reflected glory of the partner. And those perceived benefits contribute to dyadic adjustment for both partners. So one idea is that social status plays special role for narcissists as a key motivation.
