The Importance of Eating Sea Urgens
The lowest recorded core temperature in a surviving adult is 60.8 degrees. If Proudfoot had been able to get part of his body out of the water, or if he'd had a dry suit, it was conceivable that he could have lasted two days underwater. The Sea Urgens are one of the very first organisms to occupy a sunken ship. There's only one chance left to disprove Proudfoot's story, the tea kettle.
