The death of god leads to a rejection of moral values. But in that loss of old meaning, our new meaning is inherent in embryo form. Philip mainlander argued against the idea of one cosmic unity and instead argued for a multiplicity of struggling wills. Jesus christ dying on the cross wasn't a one and done. The reason why we see the jesus story and the archetype of jesus deployed consistently, lessly throughout literature is because we are always in need of a scapegoat,. A sacrificial lamb who takes on our blame or our sins. And in dying, offers us a new life at the pinnacle of mania.
