The History of Hi Kai Poems in Japan

High kigh poetry became very closely tied, for some poets at least, to a the magi government itself. The poet that i concentrated on for this very short article is mimori mikio his he becomes one of these educators. So he is very involved in the government propaganda. And so we see hiku poetry, over the course of the second half of the 19 entury, begin to form very tight a bonds with the government,. ideological bonds. But there's a real break in hi kai practice with masgaski. I think most of these poets aren't available in modern printed form.
