The US Dollar as a Reserve Currency
There's nothing legally that establishes the dollar as the reserve currency. The value of the dollar has been relatively stable compared to other currencies. Start to inflate it and you lose your status as a reserve currency. It's hard to imagine what the next reserve currency is going to be because we got a lot of malfeasance on the part of governments monkeying about with their currencies.
