Breast Cancer - Is There a Need for Screening?

The average life expectancy of a healthy 75-year-old is 13 years. At age 80, it's 10 years. If women are well and they would like to minimize their risk of dying of breast cancer, they should continue to get screened. Some provinces allow women to keep self-referring over age 74. Other provinces say you're going to need to get a requisition from your doctor every year or as often as you want to go.
