The Battle Between Right Worship and False Worship
Jeroboam recruited priests from wherever they didn't have to be Levitical priests. This is not a story that's this moralistic kind of tale about, hey, respect your elders and don't point out the fact that they don't have any hair on top of their head. So what it is, is not a battle of the bald man against a bunch of kids. This is right worship versus false worship.
