The Mind Is a Blank Slate

Music and art are going to be understood as giving us access, through the imagination to what's real. The world is an empty canvas on which imagination expresses, presses itself out. We don't actually ever know what the world is in it of itself. Is why expression is so important to the romantics. Depress yourself to press out the mind, in imagination presses itself on to the world. That's where young and freud are ging to get the notion of projecting onto the world from.
