Mike Downey: Tom Odom was raised in tough circumstances in East Los Angeles. He went into the military, bounced around there a little bit, and then came out with no ambition to work for a major corporation; he more or less fell into truck driving. How do you create a business over the course of many years through hard work and sacrifice? There was a lot of sacrifice here,. Anybody who works at one of these really difficult jobs has made a tremendous sacrifice. So when you crush that, when you treat that guy like a coolock under Stalin, that's a tragedy.
