I was always keen to get into vase engineering, and that's how i ended up going out to germany to do design and engineering work. Then i went to aster martin as a designer and an engineer. But in the background, formula one was sort of something i always wanted to do. Family life, marriage brought me back to the u k. And it was always nibbling away in the background. I did two years under force india's ownership before V j mallie took over. Never worked so hard in my whole life until the first year for the new teams.
