The Role of Women in Society in the Neolithic Period
High numbers of people living together forced prehistoric human tribes to become more like a modern society. Towns would have even started developing a merchant class, those individuals who were able to take the resources and crafts of the town and establish trade links with other towns. The successful merchants would bring wealth to their home towns by their clever ab ties to seek opportunities and negotiate. And as such they would be held in higher regard than the craftsmen of the town - possibly above the ministerial class. Would have perhaps been the earliest type of nobility. These people would have been the first kind of sts.
