The Importance of Qualified Immunity

Governor of New Hampshire, Chris Sinunu, expressed concern on behalf of police that he's worried about one, the difficulty in recruiting officers if Qualified Immunity were to go away. The rhetoric that officers are going to be bankrupt for reasonable mistakes might be scaring people away, but it is not how it functions on the ground. And I would say to the governor in New Hampshire and to people across the country is to read my book because those claims about the horrors that would befall society as a whole have no relationship to reality.
