Introduction
Baptism, the ritual immersion or cleansing in water when one enters the church. The shared meal of bread and wine which is understood in some way to recall or represent christ. There was also some sort of basic shared creed, although it's not clear what much of the content was. One of the earliest clues and insights we have about how these churches worked is an ancient document called the dedace.
