The Aryan Controversy and Athanasius of Alexandria
There have been some of the key revisions of recent scholarship, especially with regards to Arias and Athanasius. There was a real sort of golden age of scholarly revisionism to the Aryan controversy that really falls between about 1975 and 1988. As far as areas is concerned, this period did a really effective job in taking all of those polarities between Alexandria and Antioch,.Between rationalism and experiential religion, took all of those and ripping them apart.
