How Do I Get Past the Censor?
In frudian theory, the psychoanalyst is trying to pick up on the cues of the unconscious in order to trace together a narrative. And so when they get to the border of consciousness and unconsciousness and they see the censor, they're like, oh, i'd better put on a guise. I'd better disguise myself in some way in order to evade detection. This is freud's interpretation of what happens in dreams When we dream, because we are asleep, the censor is not really paying attention. It's one vacation.
