The FAA is projecting that New York airports are going to see delays increased by 7% this coming summer. The number of operations is projected to increase by 7%. So takeoffs and landings results in an overall delay increase of 45%. This document, by the way, it's only a few pages long, but it is just absolutely peppered with interesting information.
