In prayer, annie mentioned thomas merton. And i had never heard of monasteries before. When i graduated from high school, 19 61, i went down to the monastery at the abbey of bisemine in kentucky. I entered and lived there as a othe community for nearly six years. During that time i was immersed in a contemplative christianity. So he taught me how to experience the beauty that was radiating up from the words of these mystic teachers.
