Babod's Invasion of Kabul
Babod marched 40 miles south to Banu where he again defeated the local Afghans. After a brief respite, Babod decided to invade Kandahar about 280 miles southwest of Kabul. He got sick and Kabul got hit with an earthquake so those plans were put on hold for a while. In late spring 1506, Shabani Khan laid siege to Bakh then sent an army to attack Badakhshan. With the Uzbeq threat increasing, Babod tried to rally the other Tamoras to his side.
