ethical claims don't map on to emotions like anxiety and sadness, they just belong in that category. I think ethics imagine we lived in a world where there was no word for anxiety. There's this very unique feeling that we have towards the death of a friend or seeing somebody steal from a homeless man. It's somewhere in the middle, and we don't have a word for it. Well, i just say that we do have a term for it within our own thought process. That's how we should understand ethical statements.
