The Origins of Venus as an Exoplanet
Exoplanet hunters are looking through JWST atmospheric data as the new missions are coming online. One of the big giveaways of Venus is the, almost pure CO2 atmosphere. If you could detect that CO2 atmosphere signature in its atmosphere and it was close to its star, it was inside the so-called habitable zone for that star,. That would lend pretty strong support the idea that if you have a world, no matter how beautiful it might start out, it's going to end up like Venus if it's close to its sun.
