The Importance of Location in Opening a Business
I think if I stayed in New York, I probably wouldn't have this opportunity from being completely honest with myself. It's really, really hard to get off the ground because you need tons of capital for it. There are definitely markets in the South that are really viable for someone who wants to open an academy. Look at what happened in Austin over the last decade. Usually you've got cities in Florida that could probably use more Jiu Jitsu.
